Love requires us to give our all if we are loving God’s way. It isn’t a little bit of this and that. God’s word tells us it must be done (action) with everything in us!
All of our heart, all of our soul, all of our strength. God does not want us to love Him a little. He’s expecting us to go all in!
Our Earthly relationships require this too if they are to grow.
You cannot love your husband or wife just a little, lest your marriage fail. You cannot love your kids with all your heart, yet not be willing to be strong with them in discipline and teaching to keep their paths straight.
And if you only love your friends with part of your heart and soul, what kind of friendships are you going to cultivate?
Commit to love
When we commit to loving God with everything we have, we reap blessings internally and externally. There is fulfillment in your heart and soul knowing you are safe in His arms.
We see prayers answered when we are obedient to his commands as well. And as we have discussed in this series, we can have peace and joy, even when the answers are not what we want to hear and the road ahead is a bumpy one.
He gave so much for us, it is only fitting we give everything we can back to Him. One thing for sure, you cannot out-love God! However, you can be a vessel overflowing with love for others because of the love shown to you by the Father.
Giving our all
If you are in need of a love refill, consider starting a daily Bible reading plan. BibleGateway.com is a great place to start. You can add their app and take the Bible with you easily wherever you go!
I have found the more I pour into reading His scripture and praying over what He has in store for me, the more I feel He pours into my heart and soul…giving me the ability to L.O.V.E. well!
